OUR FOCUS IS TO CULTIVATE FIT, HEALTHY AND CONFIDENT PEOPLE BY DEVELOPING A PASSION FOR BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU
JUNIOR CLASS
Ages 5-9
We introduce BJJ to students in a manner that is fun and engaging. A strong emphasis is placed in the development of motor skills and body movements. Class begins with a 15 minute dynamic warm up where the students practice basic BJJ movements such as shoulder rolls, hip escapes and breakfalls followed by a series of stretches. Students begin to learn basic, fundamental movements and techniques. The typical class involves 2-3 techniques followed by positional sparring where the students begin in specified positions/situations. The class ends with one or two rounds of rolling.
YOUTH CLASS
Ages 9-14
After a rigorous warm up, students learn fundamental movements and techniques. A stronger emphasis is placed on the details. The typical class involves 2-3 techniques followed by positional sparring where the students begin in specified positions/situations. The class ends with one or two rounds of rolling. Intensity in these classes is significantly higher and the goal is to condition the students' mind and body in preparation for the stresses and demands that are associated with daily life.
GI FUNDAMENTALS CLASS
Class is focused on the development and improvement of the fundamental concepts, movements and techniques necessary to build a solid foundation for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The typical class begins with a 15 min warm up that involves dynamic movements and stretches followed by instruction and drilling 2-3 techniques.
GI ALL LEVELS
This class is for new and experienced students. Room is filled with belts of all colours. This is a great way for new people to learn from vets, and for purple and brown belts to interact and share knowledge with white belts. All topics of Jiu Jitsu will be reviewed in this class.
GI COMPETITION
This class will prepare you for tournaments. It is recommended that athletes have at least 6 months Jiu Jitsu experience prior to attending. You must finish the entire class, no leaving early! Bring your water and bring your mouth guard!
ADULT NO GI
This program is for anyone that wants to train without the GI. All submission techniques will be covered, with a focus on leg locks and neck strangles. This class is for people who really want to get after it!
OPEN MAT/HOLY ROLLERS
These sessions are open to all members to use the mat space at their leisure. Students can choose to drill techniques as well as spar (roll).
PRIVATE LESSONS
Private lessons are the quickest way to gain knowledge. Individuals can focus on specific areas of their game that they want to see the most improvement. Students supplementing their weekly training with private lessons generally see a vast improvement in their skill set, achieving a greater amount of success in the least amount of time.
